Rounding off our Work On workshop series and with insights from the world of Film, TV and Media, we heard from Abigail Dankwa, Multi Camera and Fixed Rig TV Director.

SESSION INSIGHTS.

Single Camera.

Genres: TV Drama or Film, Documentary or Factual TV.

Mostly uses one camera, either on location or in sound stages. Or, two cameras for different angles.

Multi-Camera.

Genres: Entertainment or Shiny Floor Shows, Quiz & Game Shows, Sports, Live Shows.

Uses three or more cameras.

Fixed Rig.

Genres: Entertainment, Reality, Documentary or Factual Entertainment

Uses 30 + “Hot Head” cameras (CCTV style) in a “precinct” or institution, such as a home, a hospital or a school.
